Lilly Pharmacuetical Oncology on Canvas

In September 2004, I was diagnosed with Lublar Incarcinoa and Ductile Incarcinoma.  The journey was a strenuous one, but with the love and care of others, I survived the journey and felt that I was a stronger person for it.  I know it sounds so cliche to say, "you appreciate your life more"  At least it feels that way for me.  I see things more clearer especially in my art.  So when the Eli Lily Company called out to cancer patients, caregivers or healthcare providers to enter their experiences with cancer either having it themselves or knowing someone who went through it, I decided to let my drawing tell the story.  My piece of art was accepted and is now circulating around the country.

"Ripples"

The ripples represent each person who touched my life, who was so supportive in giving me hope during my cancer journey.  When you think of all the people who touch your everyday life, it is truly amazing.  We are all connected one way or the other.

ST. LUKE'S CANCER CENTER EVENT

I was just informed by St. Luke's Cancer Center that part of the Lilly Oncology on Canvas exhibit will be loaned to St. Luke's Cancer Center in Allentown.  Inquiries are being made to see whether my piece will be one that is loaned to St. Luke's.  This is so exciting.
