This website was created to showcase my artwork and to develop a comraderie with fellow artists.

There are monumental moments in one’s life, and one of mine was my cancer journey.  During my chemotherapy and radiation treatment, I felt like I was in a gray box.  As I would recover from each treatment, I felt I had to find the purpose for it all....

Painting in my studio brought me such joy and gave me power to heal.  One day I experienced an epiphany: if color could make me feel good and give me positive energy, why couldn't it bring some healing elements to others going through their cancer journey.

Be Inspired

Beauty is every where.  The potential subjects are boundless. It could be the smallest or the largest object that catches the eye.  My need to create with oil painting, drawing or photographing is insatiable.  My mind never stops racing with the next creative thought.  I like my subjects to be the center, the focal point, so I tend to paint in a macro vision.  I try to capture what is behind and in the shadows of the subject.  The light reflecting on the subjects gives a whole different level of depth.

Imagine … seeing a beautiful flower, smelling its fragrance, feeling the softness of its petals, absorbing the energy of its colors.  Feeling the warmth of the sun or the coolness of the shade on your skin.  Each piece of art work tells a story.  The rose could be from a lover.  A tulip from a sister.  Walking in the cool woods and coming upon rocks while water trickles over them.  Watching koi swim through the water reminding me of a ballet, gentle, flowing, and beautiful.

Nature gives me the subjects.  I am an interpreter using a paint brush, camera or graphite.  My hands manipulate the medium.  I have been blessed with a talent that sometimes baffles me.  Please enjoy.
