Welcome to ArtStudio59

This website was created to showcase my artwork, and share it with others, and to have a comraderie with fellow artists.  As each year progresses, and as each brush stroke touches my canvas, an epiphany came to me, my artwork was a healing power for me during my cancer journey, why couldn't it bring some healing element to others going through this terrible journey.  To bring color in an area of gray can be very uplifting  to the spirit. 

I was inspired by the reception of my gesture to heal others with artwork and plesantly surprised how it took a life of its own at times. I was graciously given the opportunity to share my artwork with cancer patients at St. Luke's Cancer Center, Fox Chase Cancer Center, The Wellness Center of Lehigh Valley, Raritan Bay Medical Center.  I look forward to the boundless events to come. 

I also donate my "Cards for a Cure" for different awareness events, in hope to help raise funds for a great cause.

I look at my cancer as a chrysalis, it has given me insight and strength, it has made me who I am today.  There is a reason for everything, and I truly believe that good karma radiates around all of us. Getting involved in the community and be able to give something to others was very personal for me.  I am always striving to be there for others through my artwork.

Be Inspired  

Beauty is everywhere.  The potential subjects are boundless.  It could be the smallest or the largest object that catches the eye.  The need to create either by painting, drawing or photographying is insatiable.  My mind never stops racing with the next creative thought.  My subjects are usually up front & close.  I try to capture what is behind and in the shadows of the subject. The light reflecting on subjects helps enhance the fusing of the shadows.
